After thoughts

Posted on September 28, 2025September 28, 2025 by Verl

After writing the last article it came to me that I had a very good chance of bringing home a comparison to what I was saying.

Standing on the side watching a person who is drowning most would jump in immediately to save that individual. We don’t stop and say why did you not learn to swim as I did when you had the opportunity. Or you should not be in the water at your age or whatever we could muster up to eliminate our having to risk our lives to save theirs. No most dive in and without question do what is necessary to save that drawing individual at the risk of losing our lives.

Would one of my readers out there care to take the time to explain to me why we have such compassion for one and not the other. Why are we asking the color the age the size or whatever of the person who is starving. When we set with an obedience on or plate why are we not just as willing to share our strength and our knowledge to save one and not the other. Go ahead and tell me there is a place at the bottom of this where you can tell me. Perhaps I should learn from you.

Verl K.

The music of the heart can not be heard by those without compasion.

The question of compassion toward others that are starving got my attention. I feel, and research has found, that the more similar you are to the suffering, the more likely you are to help. Your skin color, ethnicity, age, religion, disability, economic status, etc. are all indicators of whether you’ll give a hand. The daily pictures of human suffering in Gaza, small children dying from malnutrition, if not blown to bits from Isreal’s bombs is just one example. The excuse was β€œeliminating Hamas” but that just opened the door. Those people in Gaza look different than you and me, they believe different, so we watch them suffer. Verl, there is no God.

Those that do not know that Scott here was my neighbor while i live in Nevada, USA. He is one of the most intelligent men you would ever find and that can continue true to friendship. We have had this discussion many times and i said he was intelligent but that is by man’s standards. The wisdom available to us Doctor is free and available to all. As i watch the sun rise i feel humbled and you would explain that according to your past education. I am driven by my compassion of God that has led me to Colombia via Costa Rica. Those things you speak of are the very reason i be here. At 82 years old. in one of the poorest countries in the world. Martin King had a dream; i Doctor Scott HARRINGTON have a vision who i am and where i am makes what i will do impossible by your schooling. As David faced Goliath knowing the outcome. I know that through me will be the largest airline in the world. The airline will give work, education, food, hospitals, and most important structure to their life. When i watch the first airplane take off, i will turn to the nearest phone and call you just so you can explain to me how i did that without a God

I think we are on this earth to help each other. I do not think we should judge why someone is homeless, doing drugs, etc. That is their garbage to haul. What we do and how we treat people is a reflection on ourselves not them. You never know how that one act of kindness will affect someone. Just like you may not be around to watch Karma (or God) work, you may not see the good effect of your good deeds!!
