Sometimes I wonder if we as a society are learning or repeating our world. Years ago a church would put pictures of biblical stories in the windows of the churches. The reason for this at the time was not very many of the locals could read. The stories depicted mostly from the bible and at the time no one doubted the stories. Many who looked and learned from those colored stained-glass windows was fascinated by the stories. As time went on another level of the building was added and the story was told on the next level. So, it was called a two-story building, and the three-story building was talked of throughout the lands.ย ย This is still used to tell the height and fewย know the reason for the term of the level of a building.
These windows and storyโs caused many to go to the churches to see and hear of the information they contained. Parents and others who could read were looked upon as very intelligent and this was a goal of many parents to have the children learn to read. I child would go to school until they were able to read and then most dropped out of school to help the family on the farm. Being able to read was a big deal for many and most parents did anything possible to educate those they brought into the world.ย
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Today there are those that do not believe in God and that allows them to forget and not pay attention to their conscience. If you do not believe in a God, why would you worry about a lie told if you were not to later answer for it? Having children and not worrying about stealing, lies or responsibilities gives one a lot of freedom from reality. If you are not bothered by the fact, you will never face a judgement day you are free to disregard rules of conduit and responsibilities that are created with the belief that one day you will be held responsible for anything. If one lived this way, would you want friends or family to believe in a God? That knowledge could be very determinantal to oneself. Would a man who believes in a God pick a friend who is not trustworthy for their actions?ย
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Today we have children graduating from high school who cannot read. This was not an acceptable situation two hundred years ago now we as parents allow this. Are we sending the children to school to learn or just to get them out from under our feet. So, if a parent is sending a child to school only for the baby setting of the child one would care less if they learned anything. Give them a telephone and as long as they are not bothering why worry what they learn? And we sure donโt want them to find about God either.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย My question to my readers is where this leads us as a society. Not being able to read and not believing in God can not be acceptable to those with any conscience at all. As aย ย writer I am not a preacher, a teacher or are a psychic and I believe my purpose is to force or at least cause you to think. If I have done that as long as I can keep in the race mentally, physically and financially, I will put forth every effort to offer this information to you.
