Johnny you cannot bring that dog into this church and I donβt care who said you could. Well Bill Powell said I could and when he says something everyone had better set up and listen. I have never heard of Bill Powell and just out of curiosity I am wondering who he is. So, tell me just who is this guy you think is so important. I donβt knowΒ his title Mr. Byrd but I know that Bill said God had to ask his permission before he would answer any prayers. Johnny God does not have to ask anyoneβs permission to answer your prayers. Then why does mom say I have to ask God for everything and then wait for his answer. If he does not have to ask anyoneβs permission why does it take him so long to answer my prayers.
Johnny God is a very busy man and he has lots of little boys wanting something and you just have to learn to wait. Why donβt he hire some help if heβs so busy. My teacher in kindergarten says that half our class comes from poor homes and that most fathers do not even have a job. Maybe Mrs. Cindy my teacher is spending to much time setting the paperwork out and not enough time reading them. But Cindy told me for sure that it was not Gods fault it was the Democrats. What is a Democrat Mr. Byrd? That is someone who wants to get paid to mow your lawn but wants to get paid first so he can buy a lawn mower.
Johnny I would like to know why you are wanting to bring Spot your dog into the church today. The sign out front I am told says only seeing eye dogs can enter and seeing how Spot is the only one I am seeing he must be ok to bring into he church. You know Mr. Byrd you older people make it confusing for us that are new at this church thing. Please explain what you mean Johnny. Well first you say that God put a guide in me to keep me on the straight and narrow then you tell me he put it in my head and it is a soul. If it is there is it inside the mind or is the mind inside of it? Does the mind control the brain or does the soul and if I go to church often enough will I know where the memory is because I ask Gramma Spencer and she says she cant remember what she had for lunch yesterday.
What good does it do to go to church if I cant even remember if I went or not. Johnny the thing that will help you in life can be learned by going to church and associating with those that believe as you do and they will help you have a stronger faith. Gary my older brother says that going to church is like riding a bike its something you never forget. He must have a lot of friends and that is why he goes to church Johnny. No, he hasnβt got any friends either cause he canβt even remember his wifeβs name half the time.
I think I have it figured out Mr. Byrd if I go to church you will help me forget everything and I will be free of all sins and get to go to heaven because when Saint Peter ask me if I have any sins I can tell him none that I can remember. And I can continue by telling him I keep them all up in the attic under the soul and inside the memory.
You know Mr. Byrd now that I think about it I donβt want to take Spot into the church cause he is a good dog and I donβt want him to forget me. See Johnny how just showing up at the church has made you smarter.
