As I wonder through life I try to observe and try to see that which many times is lost to me, because I move to fast, donβt pay enough attention to others, are just plane lazy.
Saying hello to one of the local whores, is not a bit out of my character. I enjoy a friendly smile regardless Β of who gives it to me. After walking away from a lady friend of the night to myself, I thought it over. Just which one ofΒ us is the whore?
She goes to out at night to raise money to pay for a child, or two, that she has agreed in her mind is her responsibility. I give a few coins or small bills to receive a smile, or a cheerful greeting.
She respects me for who I am without me being her customer, just someone who smiles, speaks a few kind words and goes about life. I donβt feel a bid bad having her come up and put a kiss on my cheek, an arm around my shoulder and a small squeeze.
Thinking it over am I not a whore in my own way? I donβt go to bed to receive payment I get mine right out in front of the world. I have an enter peace that gives me a lift because of others kindness to me. I donβt require the bedtime I require the smile, the handshake, the greeting, and the acknowledgement that you give to me when we meet.
I sometimes wonder why they run these types of people out of town. Ladies are known for that, but is that not like running oneβs own competition out of business? If a woman has a husband if she is truly a wife by more than a name, should she worry that this lady is giving to men that which they are desiring?
I had a very close friend John Chedister, one time, he is dead now so I can tell the story. He was the attorney for the Heber City, Utah. One day while having coffee I ask John, how he could stand before a judge, and bring charges against a man for drunk driving, when I had been in the car with him many a time, he was in the same shape.Β His answer, βIt is my job to prosecute him, and he got caught not me.β
I think that is my answer today some take life as an obligation, or a job, and I take it as a means to enjoy others, not competition, not for a reason other than friendship and smiles.
